I get my inspiration from…

The people who usually have a generous heart and helps others to work towards their dreams. I admire these people because they really have a big heart and expect nothing in return.

In the past week, what was the most memorable thing that someone said to you?

Persistence and certitude are the difference between success and failure. So, if you want to succeed, don’t be afraid to fail.

What brings the best out of you / When are you your best self?

I love to keep smiling, having a positive mental attitude and never give up! If you are positive, you’ll take every challenge as opportunities instead of obstacles. Have faith and believe the power of this potion “positivity”, it not only makes me feel better, but it also makes those around me better.

What do you love most about your job / Club Med?

Collaboration and Club Med’s spirit, “Fulfillment while living a unique experience”. I love the people here because everyone shares the same vision and is dedicated to the mission - “Creating and bringing back Happiness!”

What have you learnt about yourself amidst the COVID-19 pandemic?

To keep all my wits about me, always thinking ahead and being able to adjust when things change.

What is one thing you’ve learnt to appreciate during the pandemic?

I realized how much I must be thankful for. I have been able to reflect more on what I want for my future, pick up some new hobbies, work-life balance when working from home, to slow down to take time for myself and my family and to do what I enjoy.

How have your passion points changed in the past year?

I continue to learn and grow and become even more curious now. In order to adjust to ‘new normal’, I need to keep my mind active and becoming more observant for more new ideas.

After what has happened over the past year, has your dream destination changed and why?

I want to learn how to ski and my family likes snow holidays. My dream destination would be among our Club Med snow destination, whether it's Europe's highest ski domain in France, the charming mountain villages in Italy, or the soft powder slopes of Tomamu in Japan.

What can you do in the coming week to help the people around you to get back to their best selves?

Motivation makes things happen. I would want to inspire the people around me to identify their value and connect the work they do to it. For instance, to continuous learning as constant personal and professional growth. We don’t just “get something done.” We “learn something new.”

Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward. Life is full of beauty; we just need to notice it and one thing there are no restrictions on is kindness when comes to share happiness.

This year’s theme for IWD is #ChoosetoChallenge – which encourages women to be responsible to create an inclusive world and celebrate achievements together. How will you choose to celebrate it this year at Club Med?

Since most of us work from home, I think the simplest, yet impactful way to celebrate IWD this year is to take part in the #ChooseToChallenge social media campaign. Take a photo of myself raising my hand high and share it on Club Med via Workplace and my preferred social media platforms

What does #ChoosetoChallenge mean for you in your work life?

My definition of #ChoosetoChallenge mean to challenge the gender equity and embrace the women’s power to thrive in the workplace. A win-win solution is to find the balance to blend and enrich each other in our daily work and life.

Being a leader in hospitality, what is your advice for other women who are looking to #ChoosetoChallenge?

Embrace yourself and belief you are very powerful; power has no gender. A powerful mindset and strong belief will attract success, but no belief guarantees failure.

How have you incorporated this in your daily life?

We remain optimistic that the tourism industry will rebound strongly when the borders reopen. A strategic business plan is vitally important to the sustain year-long occupancy for both domestic and international resorts.

Why do you think the industry could benefit by having more female leaders?

I think women in hospitality leadership are still a minority, yet they represent more than half the workforce in the world. A key competitive advantage for women in business leadership is women possess excellent soft skills and emotional intelligence leadership competencies all essential skills for effective leadership in the workplace.
