1. Tegalalang Rice Terrace

This valley is located 20 minutes north of Ubud. You can quite easily travel there yourself if you have a scooter or car since the road from Ubud is mostly straight. Renting a scooter or motorcycle is popular among tourists, so you can consider that. Just remember to wear a helmet at all times.

If you're staying closer to the capital, Denpasar, you would need to travel for about an hour and 15 minutes which makes hiring a taxi or transport from your hotel a better idea. The Tegalalang Rice Terrace is about one and a half hours away from the major beaches in the south, making it still quite accessible. 2. Waterbom Park

Waterbom water park is great for families with kids. Located in Kuta, it offers a range of water slides and pools for every member of the family. For the thrill seeker, there's the Climax; a long slide with a sheer drop that lasts a few seconds.

3. Lembongan Island

Sailing to Lembongan Island is one of the top things to do in Bali. Our day trip to Lembongan Island lets you snorkel, walk on the seafloor with an Aquanaut helmet, and enjoy the pristine beaches on the island. Lunch is also included, so all you have to do is enjoy yourself.

4. Surfing

Engaging waves is what Bali is known for. If you like to surf, you can find waves all around this island from Nusa Dua to Kuta. There are plenty of places you can rent a surfboard, but if that doesn't cut it, just buy one from one of Bali's numerous surf shops.

5. Go on A Tropical Safari

Go on a safari adventure through the rice paddies on the slopes of Mount Batukaru, and enjoy a typical Balinese lunch while overlooking the black volcanic sands of Beraban Beach. Alternatively, visit the night safari to see Bali's nocturnal animals come alive.

6. White Water Rafting

For the adrenaline junkie, going white water rafting on the Ayung or Telaga Waja Rivers should be in your list of things to do in Bali. These rivers have many white water rapids that are sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. You'll also get to see lush Balinese forests and traditional villages on the water.

7. Watch a Kecak Dance

The Kecak dance is an important part of Balinese culture. While there are numerous Kecak dance shows around the island, you shouldn't miss the one at the Uluwatu temple's amphitheatre which overlooks the Indian Ocean. Before the show, you can explore the clifftop temple grounds and enjoy the ocean views.
